HOE classes: clear teaching terms
These teaching terms concern classes taught by HOE. The payment reminder from the 25th applies only to customized HOE students. They do not create monthly charges for material-only customers. Your individual written teaching agreement records the schedule, monthly hours and any student-specific conditions.
Back to my learningPayment
Payment for the following month is due from the 25th, before the new month’s classes begin. Monthly teaching packages are prepaid. Extra agreed classes use the same agreed hourly rate and require advance payment. A reminder does not confirm payment.
Hours and fees
Mr. Polushin: R$190 per teaching hour, for customized classes only. HOE team: R$140 per teaching hour. New individual packages normally contain four or eight actual teaching hours per month. Your written plan must state your exact hours and total. Existing students retain their agreed starting rate; do not substitute a new public price for an existing agreement.
Groups
Two to four students may be considered after a suitability review of level and professional needs. Each additional member adds R$30 to the total group price per teaching hour. This is not an extra R$30 per person charged to every member.
Schedules
Mr. Polushin’s teaching hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00–20:00, America/Sao_Paulo, subject to availability. He retains a maximum of 20 active students. Current weekday teaching availability is 15:00–20:00; 07:00–15:00 is unavailable. Confirm each appointment with HOE.
Holidays, Carnival, leave and cancellations
The individual written agreement must define Brazilian national and São Paulo holidays, Carnival, planned teacher vacation, student absences, notice periods, rescheduling, teacher emergency cancellations, credits and refunds before teaching starts. Any reservation arrangement must be separately agreed in writing, with applicable consumer rights preserved.
Evaluation and learning
One initial evaluation establishes the starting point; it is not repeated for every course. Personal speaking review is included for confirmed HOE class students. A recording shows spoken production, not live interaction. Your teacher agrees goals and reviews progress with you.
Access and privacy
Use your own login. Do not share passwords or redistribute course materials. Keep course backups and download recordings separately. The catalogue’s one-time material price and access period are separate from teaching fees. Ask HOE for help, corrections or deletion requests.
Personal emergency: cancellation and refund
In a personal emergency, Mr. Polushin reserves the right to cancel scheduled classes or end his teaching arrangement. HOE will notify the student as soon as reasonably possible and refund the unused prepaid teaching balance for classes that will not be delivered. No cancellation fee applies to teaching cancelled by Mr. Polushin. Any alternative teacher or rescheduling requires the student’s agreement.
Separately purchased materials
Cancelling or ending teaching does not automatically cancel the separately purchased material access. Outside statutory withdrawal, non-delivery, defects and other mandatory refund rights, materials already supplied are non-refundable. Applicable consumer rights remain fully preserved, including the seven-day withdrawal right for eligible distance purchases in Brazil. No checkbox waives those rights.
Mutual respect and professional treatment
HOE takes respectful, professional treatment seriously for everyone who uses or delivers our services. If either the student or the teacher feels they have been treated unprofessionally or disrespectfully, either party may cancel the remaining classes or end the teaching arrangement. Notify HOE of the decision. HOE will refund the unused prepaid teaching balance for classes that will not be delivered, without a cancellation penalty for ending the arrangement under this clause. Separately purchased materials remain subject to the material terms and all mandatory consumer rights.
Ending the teaching arrangement: one calendar month’s notice
For an ordinary cancellation of the ongoing teaching arrangement, give HOE written notice at least one calendar month before your intended final teaching date. This concerns ending the service, not rescheduling an individual lesson. If a student gives less notice without an applicable exception, a late-notice charge of up to one agreed monthly teaching package may apply, proportionate to the missing notice period and subject to mandatory law. The agreed package means the student’s actual contracted hours and existing agreed rate, not a new advertised rate. Any prepaid amount covering that same period is credited; there is no double charge. This charge is not calculated or collected automatically. Health emergencies, family emergencies, the mutual-respect clause, teacher cancellation, supplier breach and statutory withdrawal rights permit applicable cancellation without this charge. Tell HOE as soon as reasonably possible; do not upload confidential medical records. Any unused prepaid teaching balance is refunded after a transparent account of classes delivered and lawful amounts due. A new charge is not imposed retroactively on an existing agreement.
Course dates, completion and agreed price
Every HOE-taught course has an agreed teaching start date, end date, monthly hours and student total in the individual teaching plan. Discounts are recorded there. Private administrative reasons are not shared with students. Reaching the agreed end date completes that teaching block and is not an early cancellation. It does not trigger a late-notice penalty or automatic renewal. Continuing requires a new agreed teaching block. Material-access expiry is separate.
Your specific holiday, cancellation and leave arrangements must be confirmed in your written teaching agreement. This page does not replace that agreement.
